Clarmell on the Rideau Goat Chevre
- Serve on a toasted bagel with raspberry or strawberry jam
-Serve on a grainy cracker with hot pepper jelly OR homemade cranberry preserves
-substitute Clarmell on the Rideau Goat Chevre for cream cheese to bake up a wonderful cheesecake!
Clarmell on the Rideau Goat Feta:
-after grilling a steak to your liking, turn off the grill. Spoon over crumbled feta and lower the lid. Give it a couple of minutes for the heat to melt the cheese. (Our favorite steak seasoning is the Montreal Steak seasoning)
- substitute Clarmell on the Rideau Goat Feta when making up a Spinach Feta Quiche!
A couple of hours ahead of needing it, cube up into a bowl
~100 gm Feta Cheese
Stir in 2T. dried Basil(good quality) and 1T. oil. Cover and let the flavors mellow.
1/2 hour before serving, cube up tomatoes. Sprinkle lightly with salt. Let sit on the cutting board for ~ 5 min to let juices drain off. Scoop up the tomatoes and stir into the Feta cheese mix.
Can be served out onto plain rice crackers OR lightly toast pieces of french bread on both sides. Spoon Feta filling on top and lightly broil the bread to soften the cheese.
